Festival Overview
Mission
Port Shorts provides an opportunity for all film makers, from the first time amateur to the seasoned professional, to "strut their stuff".
History
The Port Shorts Film Festival, formerly known as the UZI 8mm film fest was incepted over a Sunday afternoon BBQ in a sunny corner of a Port Douglas backyard in 2000.

An idea which began as "Lets all make films amongst our friends & have a film night soire" was the start of an event which attracted over 400 people the first year, 450 people the following year and 550 the year after that! 2005 saw 4 sold out sessions as Port shorts continues to grow.
