| Festival Overview |
| Mission | First Take International Student Film Festival is the largest international student film festival worldwide.
The festival also has the first marketplace for students and public alike deicated to students.
We accept only student films from high schools, colleges, universities, and private film schools. |
| History | First Take International Student Film Festival was started in 2000 by festival Executive Director and Founder Paris Roger, with a handful of films and under the name The National Student Film Competition, and in year 2 changed the named to First Take International Student Film Festival.
First Take has almost doubled in size each year since it was started. We have showcased student films from over 15 countries over the last few years.
The festival did not have any screenings in 2003 because of the east coast blackout, but soon rebounded and grew larger. |
