All films must be independently produced with an East/Southeast Asian/ Asian North American in a key creative role. We encourage submissions from first-time and emerging directors. Student films are welcome.

Exhibition prints may be presented in 16mm, 35mm, BetacamSP and Digibeta (inc. PAL).

The largest Asian film festival in Canada, Toronto Reel Asian International Film Festival is a unique showcase of contemporary Asian cinema and work from the Asian diaspora. Works include films and videos by East and Southeast Asian artists from Canada, the U.S., Asia and all over the world.

Founded in 1997 by producer Anita Lee and journalist Andrew Sun, this non-profit community-based festival has grown into an eagerly anticipated annual event that attracts thousands of attendees to 5 frenetic days of galas, screenings, forums, workshops and parties.
